This client approached us with an old outdated website that was unattractive and was not easy for staff to update. They had recently re-designed their promotion materials and re-drawn their logo. We took this resource and translated it to an attractive layout for the website, keeping the school colours prominent.
The site is simply laid out, with sections for the nursery and documents and forms. It also has a popular school events calendar which is automated and "looks after itself", displaying the upcoming events on the home page.
We paired the website, which uses modern coding HTML and CSS techniques, with the CMS Made Simple content management system which gives great all-round flexibility. The school has several editors who can edit only the pages dealing with the parts of the school they are responsible for. All administrator actions are logged for security purposes.
The St Mary's Catholic Primary School website is another which includes the facility to display an emergency message should it be required, for example in case of school closure. Editors can login from any web-connected computer.
